Business Involvement in Youth Career Readiness

The success of the Youth Workforce Development programs is largely credited to the businesses and organizations who have volunteered time and talent, or who have sponsored goods, services and provided students with paid internships that may lead to recruitment in the future.

Volunteer Support of Youth Workforce

There are many ways to connect with GGP’s Youth Workforce Training programs and enhancing the growth and advancement of Geauga’s future workforce.

Hosting an 8th Grade Awareness Tour – GGP arranges tours of area businesses for 8th Grade Career Awareness days and other student groups. Opening your business for one or more tour dates provides the opportunity for you to introduce your workplace to your future workforce and provide students with inspiration and information they need to plan their education pathways. Contact GGP if you wish to be involved.

Volunteer at Career Readiness Events – GGP utilizes the assistance of area business leaders to help facilitate Career Readiness events. Some of the activities require help leading or assisting with soft skill exercises, break-out sessions, mock interviews and more. Contact GGP if you wish to be involved.
