The GGP Internship program now in its third year continues to grow. Through this competitive program, qualifying high school juniors and seniors get the chance to work for companies who teach them employee soft skills and prepare them for the real world work place. For 2014, twenty-eight Geauga companies offered thirty-six paid summer internships.
Funding for our career and internship program is provided in part by The Cleveland Foundation – Lake/Geauga Fund.
The Geauga Growth Partnership works to retain and grow jobs, contribute to business growth and strengthen the local economy. GGP Key Action Areas include:
- Serving business needs as a trusted advisor, facilitator, and advocate
- Sponsoring internships and other workforce and career education initiatives
- Supporting entrepreneurs
- Addressing key issues such as health care, shale oil and gas, and utilities
- Assisting with commercial real estate needs
